Winter Tip #4 from Dr. Zhi Halbach

Winter Tip #4 from Dr. Zhi Halbach, Family Medicine Physician, Hutchinson Health.
Young children, older adults, and those with chronic health problems are especially vulnerable to cold weather. Please remember to check on family and neighbors during this winter season.

Winter Tips from Dr. Zhi Halbach

Zhi Halbach, DO, a family medicine provider at Hutchinson Health, has some winter tips for our cold weather season.

“Frostbite often affects the nose, ears, cheeks, chin, fingers, or toes. At the first signs of redness or pain, in any skin area, if possible get out of the cold. Protecting any exposed skin with hats, gloves and mittens is the best way to avoid frostbite.”

With the holidays upon us Candace boy with hatfocuses on how to stay healthy.

Contrary to common beliefs, cold weather does not cause colds or flu! But when people are in close contact with each other, the viruses that cause colds and flu will spread easier. Frequent hand washing and sneezing or coughing into the bend of the elbow may help reduce the spread of colds and flu.

Hutchinson Health’s Nutrition Video

Check out Hutchinson Health’s latest video that focuses on Nutrition for students but applies to all

age groups.  We partnered with the Hutchinson School District to provide a video that applies

to our active kids that are always on the go.  Trying to help them find healthy alternatives so that

Better Fuel = Better Performance.

Please feel free to share with anyone!  Sports teams, Band or Choir groups.

Toys For Kids Drive 2015

Hutchinson Health was provided with 150 wishes for children in McLeod County who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the excitement of receiving Christmas gifts and YOU provided! Hutchinson Health delivered 8 ½ large and very filled boxes of 150 (+) gifts to the toy drive. Thank you all so much for your participation!
A very heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this year’s 2015 McLeod County Social Services Toys for Kids Drive! Without YOU this would not be possible.

Thank you so much!

Hutchinson Health Proud to Have a Chad Greenway Locker

Chad Greenway Locker ribbon cutting ceremony,  at Hutchinson Health in October,  is highlighted in this  NFL Network video. The video focuses on Chad himself, his Foundation and career. Chad is a nominee for the 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year.  This interview is a glimpse in to what Chad’s mission is for Minnesota and our patients. Please vote for Chad on all social media platforms by using the #GreenwayWPMOYCHALLENGE

He is well deserving of this award.
