New Hospitalist TeleMedicine Program

Written by Rosann Nadle Maher
December 18, 2018 at 2:50 PM

Hello to a new hospitalist program beginning at Hutchinson Health. There’s a possibility you may receive inpatient care, from a doctor located off-site, starting this month. This telemedicine program delivers the care you need via a cart. A nurse will be in the room with you during the visit. This allows the best possible care to be delivered to you, as conveniently as possible. Hutchinson Health is excited to be one of the facilities implementing this technology. HealthPartners has been using Telemedicine at four other sites for the past year, with great success. Hutchinson Health will be site number five.
The Hospitalists will be covering during the hours of 6 pm to 7:30 am, a few times a month. That way if you are admitted to the hospital your treatment plan can begin right away.

Construction on Clinic Entrance

Say goodbye to our old sign. Starting Monday, November 26th, for the next 3 weeks, there may be some remodeling and maintenance occurring on our clinic canopy. Please use caution when entering and exiting the building. We are prepping the sides with new panels and preparing the surface for a new sign, to be installed around December 15th. Thank you for your patience as we re-brand our signage to our HealthPartners logo.

Shout out to our Team of Radiologist Technicians

Celebrating National Radiologic Technology Week to recognize the vital work of R.T.s across the nation.

This week is scheduled around Nov. 8 to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895. At Hutchinson Health we take this opportunity to celebrate all our staff, at our clinics and hospital, that work in all areas of imaging. Pictured is some of our hospital staff that perform imaging tests like MRI’s, CT’s, 2D/3D mammograms, and ultrasounds to name a few. Shout out to the whole department this week and all year long!

Giving the Gift of Sight

Have you considered the power you have to give the gift of sight through an eye donation?

November is Eye Donation Month, and Hutchinson Health wants to help restore sight for patients by encouraging people to learn more about becoming a donor.

Build hope, restore sight & change lives. Register as an eye donor.

“More than 100,000 Americans are in need of eye, tissue, and organ donations,” and the Lions Gift of Sight is helping make the donor commitment process easy to understand and complete.

Please consider becoming a donor, put it in writing and make it legal, and then let your family and friends know your decision.

National Pharmacy Week 2018

Join us in celebrating National Pharmacy Week October 21 – 27, 2018!

Each year we celebrate our team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists who work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, laboratorians, and many others to ensure our patients receive excellent care. Pharmacists play a critical role in preventing medication errors, advising providers on best drug choices, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing patient education, and working with new technology to enhance medication safety and administration.

We’d like to acknowledge all the different service areas and providers that work together to ensure safe and effective medication use at Hutchinson Health, and for their role in improved patient outcomes. It is only with this team approach that we are able to realize our mission of advancing health with our community.
