Hutchinson Health Rrecognized by Minnesota Hospital Association for Excellence in Quality and Patient Safety

Hutchinson Health has been recognized by the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) for superior performance in quality and patient safety. ·         MHA is one of 16 Health Improvement Innovation Networks in the country. ·         The networks are created by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ·         The overall goal is to reduce patient harm and 30 day hospital readmissions. Blue Cross Blue Shield Network Change

Network change for small group of Blue Cross Blue Shield members We recently learned that Blue Cross Blue Shield had notified a small group of members that Hutchinson Health would no longer be considered in-network as part of their health plan. This change impacts a limited number of plans sold by BCBS featuring a narrow network that until now, Hutchinson Health had been a part of. This change does not impact other contracts between Hutchinson Health and BCBS. This change was scheduled to take effect September 1, so we immediately reached out to BCBS. BCBS has since agreed to delay the effective date for this network change to December 31, 2019. This is important because it provides patients more time to consider an alternative plan, and occurs during the normal course of the annual enrollment selection period. If you have any ... Free Disposal of Needles

Free needle disposal on May 2, 2019 from 12:30PM - 5:30PM. Location: Glencoe Hospital North Parking Lot - Watch for signs 1085 Hennepin Ave N. Glencoe Needles must be in a screw top, hard plastic container. If needles are not brought in proper containers they will not be accepted. All needles, sharps and epi-pens accepted. Dr. Mulder receives the Good Catch Award

Dr. Steven Mulder is officially retired as of last Friday. During his last week at Hutchinson Health he received the Good Catch Award, from the Minnesota Hospital Association. It was a well deserved recognition for him as he moves to his next chapter of life. Dr. Mulder spent many years working towards the betterment of health care for the entire state. Snow Ground Breaking

Snow ground breaking? You bet! Today we celebrated the start of our huge construction project. A month ago we planned for snow drifts. Sure enough, thanks to warm temps and lots of melting, we had to actually bring snow in.
