Dr. Mulder receives the Good Catch Award

Dr. Steven Mulder is officially retired as of last Friday. During his last week at Hutchinson Health he received the Good Catch Award, from the Minnesota Hospital Association. It was a well deserved recognition for him as he moves to his next chapter of life. Dr. Mulder spent many years working towards the betterment of health care for the entire state. As he now shifts to being an adjunct professor with the University of Minnesota, he will continue to influence medical students as they train. Good Luck Dr. Mulder in your new endeavors. ... Snow Ground Breaking

Snow ground breaking? You bet! Today we celebrated the start of our huge construction project. A month ago we planned for snow drifts. Sure enough thanks to warm temps and lots of melting we had to actually bring snow in. This will be a 14 month project that will build a wing of 18 brand new inpatient rooms. Dr. Mulder’s grandchildren and cabin await

Full article at Crow River Media website.   Dr. Steven Mulder’s office doesn’t appear big enough to contain his responsibilities as the 10-year president and CEO of Hutchinson Health. The title itself can intimidate, an initial feeling washed away by Mulder’s grin. He smiles often. He takes time to think before speaking. While being CEO of anything sounds life-encompassing, Mulder, who is 67, has plenty going on outside of the hospital. He loves New Yorker comics, for example. And when he retires next month, he’ll visit his 11 grandchildren, travel around and teach part time as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota. “We just became the proud owners of a Detroit Lakes cabin last summer,” Mulder said. “We plan to spend more time there.” It started with his 1995 job at Hutchinson Medical Center’s Winsted ...
