Blue Cross Blue Shield Network Change

Network change for small group of Blue Cross Blue Shield members We recently learned that Blue Cross Blue Shield had notified a small group of members that Hutchinson Health would no longer be considered in-network as part of their health plan. This change impacts a limited number of plans sold by BCBS featuring a narrow network that until now, Hutchinson Health had been a part of. This change does not impact other contracts between Hutchinson Health and BCBS. This change was scheduled to take effect September 1, so we immediately reached out to BCBS. BCBS has since agreed to delay the effective date for this network change to December 31, 2019. This is important because it provides patients more time to consider an alternative plan, and occurs during the normal course of the annual enrollment selection period. If you have any ... Spring allergies are Here

"This time of year brings with it seasonal allergies. First the trees pollenate and in May, the grass pollen comes out in full force. Symptoms of seasonal allergies include nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery, red eyes. For those with asthma, the allergy season can bring increased asthma symptoms as well. There are great medicines, some over the counter like antihistamines and steroid nasal sprays, and some prescriptions, that can help control these symptoms. Allergy shots can be helpful to improve symptom control and decrease the need for medications." - Dr. Andrew Nickels, allergist at Hutchinson Health. Call 320-484-4720 to schedule an appointment with him if you are experiencing symptoms.   ... Continue Reading
