Drive up COVID testing FAQ #1

As we finalize our drive up COVID-19 testing which starts Monday, May 4th, we will share some common FAQ’s to keep you informed. Here is FAQ #1.
What kind of testing are you doing and who can be tested?
Hutchinson Health will be collecting a nasopharyngeal swab (a deep nasal swab) for PCR testing. This will test for CURRENT infection. Blood tests, also known as antibody testing, are what show a history of infection. The blood test is NOT available at this time.
Any patient who CURRENTLY has symptoms consistent with COVID19 (Fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or new loss of taste or smell) can be tested.
Check our website for the latest details on our drive up testing as they are posted.
