Managing Meltdowns: Helping Young Children

Little bodies can experience such BIG emotions. How can adults help them through it?

Self-regulation is the ability to manage our behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. Regulation should be like any other skill we want young children to learn- by teaching and providing practice. This course will cover the basic definition of self-regulation along with strategies that can be easily implemented to help young children with self-regulation.

Course Objectives:

  • Define what is Regulation
  • Strategies for Regulation
  • Self-Regulation Program

Intended Audience: Daycare Providers (home and center-based)

Contact Hours: 1.5 hours (CEUS offered if needed)

Location: Live Online Course offered via WebEx. Specific information to access the course will be given once registration has been completed.

*Class size is limited. Minimum of 6registrants. Full refund will be made if the course is cancelled.

 Cancellation Policy: Any no show or cancellation after TUESDAY AUGUST 11, 2020 will forfeit the registration fee.
