What is Make It Ok?

It’s ok to talk about mental illness.

Make It Ok is an initiative to bring awareness to our community, while developing ambassadors and events that help fight the stigmas associated with mental illness.

  • 1 in 5 adults in the US experience mental illness in a given year.
  • There are 19 million Americans living with depression, and it affects everyone differently.
  • Most will wait an average of ten years before seeking treatment, largely due to the stigma.
