Our heart care services

No matter your heart condition, we’ll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. In addition to the common tests and treatments you would expect from top cardiologists, we offer the following innovative services:

Tests and screenings for heart conditions

Many different conditions can affect your heart. Diagnosing your condition quickly can help you get the effective treatment you need to recover. We use a wide range of different tests and screenings in order to diagnose any heart condition.

No matter what your symptoms, we’ll always start with a clinical exam. During this step, we’ll listen to your heart with a stethoscope to check for the strength and regularity of your heartbeat. This will give us a good picture of your heart health and help us determine what other tests you might need.

Other common tests and screenings for heart conditions include blood pressure tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs), blood tests, stress tests, angiograms and others. We’ll use your symptoms to determine which tests will enable us to diagnose your condition as quickly as possible.

Cardiac rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation is a program designed to improve your heart health through exercise, education and stress management. Patients who experienced a cardiac event are encouraged to participate in a cardiac rehab program so they can get back to a more active lifestyle. Our cardiac rehab team works with you to create an individualized plan based on your unique needs.

We also offer Fitness for Today, a program for patients who have one or more cardiovascular risk factors such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, elevated blood lipids, smoking or physical inactivity. This group is open to men and women of all ages and requires a minimal fee.

The cardiac rehab center is located on the lower level of Hutchinson Health. For questions about cardiac rehab, call 320-234-5000 x7158.

“I was very impressed with the Cardiac Rehab program at Hutchinson Health. For someone who didn’t know what to expect coming in, they made me immediately at ease and made the program very enjoyable. Their knowledge of watching my heart when it would be in a-fib was great, as I was always totally unaware of it happening.”
