Collateral Interview

We appreciate the opportunity to provide care for your family member or loved one and we look forward to talking more with you when you visit them. Our Social Worker may call you to set up a “Collateral Appointment” and you will have the opportunity to talk with her, either by telephone or in person, to enable our team to gather information about your family member from your perspective. You may also be requested to complete the Family Collateral Questionnaire.

Visiting Hours

We encourage you to visit and be able to support your family member or child during their hospitalization.

Monday– Friday:
4:00 pm – 5:00pm
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Saturday-Sunday and Holidays:
1:00 pm – 8:00 pm

These hours are set to allow to attendance at the programming that will teach them the coping skills they can use to stay safe and healthy after discharge. Only immediate family members may visit or call. If any friends plan to visit, they must come with you or they will not be allowed on our Unit.

We also have a Discharge Planning Education Group for patients/family/visitors Monday – Friday from 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM and we hope you will join us for this if you are here during that time.

Medication Consent

We require parental consent for any medications that will be ordered for your child if they are under 18. Our psychiatrists are committed to having nurses obtain consent for medications prior to your child receiving them, so it is important to have contact numbers for you on file here at the hospital. You may call for daily updates by calling the Unit either directly or on the toll free line.

Personal Belongings

If you will be bringing in items for your child or family member when you visit, please plan to check these in with staff to assure we provide a safe environment for all our patients. Please do not bring in any cell phones, hand held games, razors, I-Pods, CD players, computers or anything with cords. For any clothing, please check to be certain there are no strings in them as they are not allowed on the Unit.
