New President for Hutchinson Health

We are pleased to announce that James (Jim) Lyons will be the new President of Hutchinson Health, effective Friday, April 12.

Jim brings extensive experience in hospital and care group leadership to our team, making him uniquely qualified for this role. He has served in multiple roles with Hutchinson Health dating back to 1996, most recently as our Chief of Clinic Operations. In these roles, he has been instrumental in our work to integrate our hospital and medical group, develop a culture of quality improvement and build strong partnerships with our community.

As a leader, Jim has shown a commitment to improving the health and quality of life for the people of Hutchinson and the surrounding communities. He is a past board member for the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement and continues to serve as a member of their audit and finance committee. He also spent eight years as a steering committee member for Heart of Hutch and has been a board member and Vice Chair of the I.J. Burich Family Foundation for the past ten years. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and has practiced as a certified public accountant.

On a personal note, Jim and his wife, Shannon, have been married 28 years and have four children. Jim has coached youth sports and led youth trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. He enjoys outdoor activities including camping and visiting State and National Parks.

Please join us in welcoming Jim to this new role, and extending our deep appreciation and gratitude once again to Dr. Steve Mulder for his years of leadership of the organization. We wish him well as he retires from a remarkable 37-year career of service to this community.
